The Community College Innovation Challenge (CCIC) is organized by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) in collaboration with the National Science Foundation (NSF). This national competition invites community college student teams, guided by a faculty or administrator mentor, to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in creating innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Participants engage in an Innovation Boot Camp and compete for cash prizes.
AACC is excited to announce that preparations are underway to host the Innovation Boot Camp in Washington, D.C., from June 9-12, 2025, with full travel support for the finalist teams.
The Boot Camp offers professional development, mentoring, and coaching to enhance strategic communication and entrepreneurial skills, aiding students in advancing their innovations in the private and public sectors. The event concludes with a poster session and networking opportunity with STEM leaders and Congressional stakeholders, followed by a pitch presentation before a panel of industry and entrepreneurial experts to select the first, second, and third place winning teams.

The national CCIC is intended to empower community college students to explore and showcase their ability to use STEM to positively impact the world and turn that knowledge into actionable solutions!
